This 50″x 40″ painting is full of texture, paint, acrylic ink and interesting patterns. Tools used were painting knives, a garden trowel and miscellaneous brushes, fingers and sponges. At one point I hosed it down after it had mostly dried – see photos below. Only some of the paint and gesso came off, leaving a very interesting surface. The underpainting colors, texture and lines were still evident, so I continued to drip ink, paint and spray with water. Lots of fun. One of my best paintings. Currently on sale at Hilton Head Art League through August 24th. To purchase, see the Contact page.
Here’s how it evolved:
Love it, Susie & love seeing the process. Is it on stretched canvas? Love the garden hose as art supply–do you think I could take that off on my taxes? ;0)
